John H. Jessen — Founder and Chairman of the Board
John Jessen founded Daticon EED in 1987 to address the growing number of electronic evidence issues he saw facing the legal profession. John hired a diverse team of technical and legal experts to create the first, and now largest, company in the industry. Formerly chief executive officer for Daticon EED, Jessen now focuses on long-term company strategy.
John has contributed to countless legal journals and publications, serves on eight professional boards and organizations, and has spoken at more than 130 conferences and forums on electronic evidence, including guest lectures at Harvard Law and the University of Washington Law School. He regularly conducts courses for law firms and federal judges on the latest technology and policies related to electronic discovery.
John is a member of the National Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Computer Security Association (NCSA) and the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM). He earned his bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Washington and completed the Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Brandon Leatha - Director of eDiscovery Consulting
Brandon Leatha joined Daticon EED in 2000, providing Data Analytics and Forensics services. In 2002, he formed the Data Analysis Group and has since overseen more than 500 eDiscovery matters for many of the nation's leading law firms and largest corporations. With a deep understanding of e-mail, messaging and information systems, Brandon now focuses on consulting on complex eDiscovery matters and also helps clients cost-effectively plan for and manage evidence preservation, collection, reduction, analytics, review and production. He has provided technical expertise for Rule 26(f) conferences, informal discovery and through declaration. Since 2005 Brandon has been a member of The Sedona Conference’s Work Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production, and is often asked to speak on topics of computer forensics, information systems and data analytics.

Jeff Jacobs leads Daticon EED's national eDiscovery consulting practice, where he assists corporate and law firm clients with eDiscovery process design, validation and execution, litigation readiness, and records and email management and retention issues. Jeff has over 20 years of experience as an in-house and outside litigation counsel, much of it spent executing or managing complex electronic discovery matters.
Jeff spent ten years as a Special Counsel in the litigation group of Sullivan & Cromwell's Washington, DC office, after which Jeff spent seven years as in-house litigation counsel at MCI, where he managed the eDiscovery aspects of the various investigations into the WorldCom accounting fraud and bankruptcy and the related securities class actions. He also managed the electronic discovery for MCI in connection with the Verizon-MCI merger, and advised the Company's Records Information and Management group on records storage, retention and destruction issues. Jeff has published articles and spoken before many groups on electronic discovery, litigation readiness and records management issues, and has also served as a Rule 30(b)(6) witness on such issues. Christopher Mashburn - Senior Consultant, eDiscovery Consulting
Chris Mashburn advises Fortune 500 corporate legal departments and AmLaw Top 100 law firms on best practices in all technical aspects of the eDiscovery process, with a special emphasis on evidence preservation and collection. With a decade of experience under his belt, Chris helps clients scope and define their specific data preservation and collection needs, assessing technical options, and providing recommendations that allow cost-effective, legally defensible and non-disruptive preservation and collection of targeted electronic data. With his broad knowledge of eDiscovery operations and technology, Chris is able to conduct in-depth research and analysis using a variety of resources in order to quickly diagnose client issues and provide efficient, cost-effective solutions. Bernard A. Lapinsky III – Senior Consultant
Bernard Lapinsky is an expert in electronic document management, records management, electronic data discovery, data harvesting and document imaging. He offers EED clients expertise drawn from years of experience managing electronic data harvesting and digital forensic investigations for large-scale electronic discovery projects. Prior to this role, Bernard worked in the enterprise content management (ECM) industry for over 15 years. During his career, he has consulted with clients in the design, implementation and workflow processes of electronic document management systems. He has provided information management solutions ranging from microfilm and digital archiving to enterprise-wide content management for county government agencies, state universities and Fortune 500 corporations. Bernard has developed protocols and methodologies for the collection of digital evidence as well as supervised complex litigation projects that required custom programming for file processing and document production. He has led teams of data collection specialists and managed multiple eDiscovery projects simultaneously.

David Stromberg - Senior Consultant
David Stromberg joined Daticon EED in 2005. He has extensive expertise in dealing with electronic document management, workflow and imaging. In addition to his high level of technical expertise, David is adept at interacting with members of the legal community. Prior to joining Daticon EED, he worked with counsel to develop legal agreements, licenses and financial contracts. David now leverages that legal knowledge to effectively interpret, assess and fulfill the eDiscovery needs of numerous law firms and corporate legal councils that have represented some of Daticon EED's largest and most complex projects. Due to his diligence and dedication to quality and customer satisfaction, David was honored with a “Sales MVP” award for 2005 and promoted to the position of Director of Client Services. Under his guidance and leadership, the Project Management team works to build strong relationships with clients that will ensure customer satisfaction and create an environment of collaboration.
