Proactive Content Reduction
Prior to collection and processing, Daticon EED can review data, tapes or catalogs and provide recommendations for reducing the volume of content. Daticon EED's process for sampling, review, analysis and revision of search criteria has been successfully tested in numerous judicial and regulatory forums.
Content Processing & Analysis
Constructed with distributed application architecture and supported by a Class A datacenter, the Daticon EED Discovery software solution is capable of processing massive volumes to meet critical case deadlines. Daticon EED Discovery provides automated file and email de-duplication, system file filtering and signature-based record analysis. Files in compressed containers such as .zip, .pst and .nsf archives are automatically extracted, eliminating time-consuming and error-prone manual file extraction.
During data processing, the Daticon EED Discovery software system can automatically reduce the data set using client-defined criteria based on file type, file signature or file hash.
During file upload, Daticon EED Discovery excludes all system files and unzips all remaining files, copying them to a dedicated hosting or production network. During processing, password-protected files are identified and accessed if possible.

Media Restoration
Daticon EED provides comprehensive media restoration services. Daticon EED has worked with all data types. Supported backup tape formats include 8mm, AIT, DAT, DLT, IBM, LTO and Mammoth. Daticon EED can also restore a variety of email servers, including Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise.
